Manage ticket tiers

A ticket tier is how you categorize guests within an event — for example Standard, VIP, Industry, Press. The tier drives three important things:

  • Door access: each door allows only certain tiers. When a QR is scanned, the system checks the guest’s tier against the door’s allowlist.
  • Ticket design (e-ticket): each tier can use its own layout when the guest views the electronic ticket.
  • Email and ticket templates: you can assign different email and ticket templates to different tiers.

All of this happens on the CMS at app.qrs.com.vn, inside the event page, under Ticket Design.

When you create or edit a tier, you will see the following fields:

Field Meaning
Tier name The display name, for example “VIP”, “Standard”, “Industry”. Names cannot be duplicated within the same event. Up to 25 characters — tier names render as compact badges on the guest ticket page and the scanner, so keep them short.
Capacity The maximum number of tickets that can belong to this tier (optional). Leave blank for no limit. Must be a whole number.
Color The tier’s identifying color, shown as a dot next to the name. Helps scanning staff and organizers tell tiers apart at a glance in the dashboard and reports. Pick from the color picker, or type a color code.
Sort order The tier’s position in the list. Change it by dragging the tier up or down.
Active status Turn on to make the tier live; turn off to hide it temporarily without losing data.
Ticket design template The electronic ticket layout applied to this tier specifically (see the section below).
  1. Open the event and go to Ticket Design.
  2. In the tier list, choose Add tier. A new tier with a default name appears and is selected automatically.
  3. In the detail panel beside it, type the Tier name you want (for example “VIP”).
  4. (Optional) Enter a Capacity if this tier has a ticket limit.
  5. Pick a Color for the tier — type a color code or use the color picker.
  6. Choose Save to confirm. The new tier appears in the list and is ready to be assigned to doors and ticket templates.
  1. In the tier list, select the tier you want to edit.
  2. Update the Name, Capacity, or Color in the detail panel.
  3. Choose Save to apply the change.

The order of tiers affects how they appear in the management list and reports.

  • Hover over the tier you want to move and drag the handle (the dots on the left of the tier name) up or down.
  • Drop it where you want it. The new order is saved automatically.
  1. Select the tier to delete in the list.
  2. Choose Delete tier in the detail panel.
  3. A confirmation dialog appears, naming the tier (and the assigned template if any). Choose Delete tier to confirm.

If a tier is only used for a limited window (for example early-bird or industry-code sales) and you want to hide it temporarily, turn it off instead of deleting it:

  1. Select the tier in the list.
  2. Toggle the Active status on or off.
  3. Save.

A tier that is turned off will not appear as an option when issuing new tickets, but the existing data is kept so you can turn it back on at any time.

Each tier can use its own ticket design template — the way the electronic ticket looks when the guest views it on their phone. This is the heart of the Ticket Design feature.

  • Each event has a default template that applies to every tier without a template of its own.
  • A tier can have its own template. When it does, that template takes precedence.
  • If a tier has no template of its own, it automatically uses the event default.
  1. Select the tier in the tier list.
  2. In the detail panel, under Ticket template, choose Pick template (or Change template if one is already assigned).
  3. Select the template you want from the list, then choose Assign template.

Assign one template to multiple tiers at once

Section titled “Assign one template to multiple tiers at once”
  1. Open the tier (or the default row) that holds the template you want to apply broadly.
  2. Choose Assign to other tiers.
  3. Tick the tiers you want to apply the same template to. Tiers that have no template of their own are pre-checked for convenience.
  4. Choose Assign to tiers to apply.

If a template is used by more than one tier and you choose Edit design, the system warns you first. The reason: any change you save will apply simultaneously to every tier using that template. Review carefully before continuing.

Once your tiers are created, the next step is to assign them to each door — for example, the VIP door only accepts VIP tickets. This is done in the Doors tab.

For instructions on assigning tiers to doors, see the detailed guide at Doors, capacity, and tier access.
